I am proud to be a 2012 graduate of Metropolitan Community College. Even though I grew up facing the challenges of poverty, I never gave up my aspiration of postsecondary attainment. So getting my Associates Degree from MCC was a dream come true. I understand the needs of today’s students because I fit the profile of so many students that MCC continues to serve – an adult long out of high school, working full time and striving to make a better future for myself and my family. That is why my leadership is centered on student success. I want today’s students to have the sense of fulfillment and success that I had when I walked across the MCC graduation platform in 2012.
